We start with a UMG track rank within a territory. Then we consider how fast a track is moving relative to all other UMG tracks and the market. Since a track moving from 20th to 10th rank will have the same rank change within that market as a track moving from 1020th to 1010th position, we reward tracks moving from already high positions to even higher ones because it takes more effort and is more significant.
As a result, each track is assigned a velocity score. The velocity score includes both the significance of a track’s rank and its improvement in streams. Your Trending Tracks is sorted by highest velocity score.
